Associate Pastor
Ministry Description
The First Presbyterian Church of Columbia is seeking to appoint a new associate minister to its staff, to share in the pastoral leadership of the congregation and to work alongside a current team of five ordained ministers and others in pastoral leadership.
The committee seeks to nominate a minister who will share with his colleagues in pastoring the whole congregation, and for whom specific aspects of his ministry and responsibility will be part of his overall commitment to the congregation's life and his love for all the flock.
While the role of the minister called will, in some measure, be shaped around the particular gifts of the individual who is called, the search committee seeks a man who:

- possesses proven gifts in teaching and preaching
- is able to give leadership to ministry among men
