Stated Meetings: Three Per Year (January, May, September)

Purpose: It is the purpose of the Bonclarken Board of Trustees to oversee the operation and management of all aspects of Bonclarken Conference Center. This oversight includes the monitoring of all fiscal activities, review and approval of all operating/capital budgets, review monthly financial statements, review the annual audited financial statement, the maintenance of all facilities/property/equipment, the review of all construction proposals by private/church owned property holders on the grounds, the planning of special conferences/programs, the establishment of policies and procedures, and an on-going effort to promote Bonclarken and secure adequate funding for its operation. The Executive Director of Bonclarken is an advisory member of the Board and works under the supervision and authority of the Board of Trustees in carrying out the day-to-day activities of Bonclarken.

Board Membership: There are eighteen members serving six-year terms who are elected by the General Synod. Each year three members conclude their term and three new members are elected. The representative of the Bonclarken Property Owners Association and the ex-officio ARP Women's Ministries representative are additional voting members of the Board. Other advisory members of the Board are the representatives from Covenant Fellowship, Lay Ministry, the Moderator of General Synod, the Moderator-Elect of General Synod, the Coordinator of General Synod, and the Assistant Treasurer of the Board (when one is appointed).
Every May the Board elects a new slate of officers; i.e., Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. The Assistant Treasurer is appointed by the Chairman. Each member of the Board serves on at least one of the standing committees-Administrative, Promotion and Service, or Building and Grounds. The officers of the Board and the Chairpersons of each committee with the Executive Director comprise the Executive Committee.

Personal Commitment and Abilities: The Board of Trustees of Bonclarken is active throughout the year enabling the Bonclarken staff and following up on projects.
